Known for its Pelagic encounters, Rangiroa hosts hundreds of resident gray reef sharks and a healthy balance of silky, lemon, silvertip, great hammerhead & tiger sharks on deeper dives. Friendly dolphins are not uncommon and often stop with divers for a ‘play’ plus manta , eagle and leopard Rays are seen often.
Rangiroa is also home to one of the oceans greatest drift dives, The Tiputa Pass. Divers are carried on an incoming current & gradually drift from the mouth of the pass towards the lagoon interior. The walls of the pass offer amazing reef life & an array of active marine life.
