The Islands of Tahiti Offers a Virtual Escape with Words of Mana Campaign

June 29, 2021 in Experience

The Islands of Tahiti is offering virtual travellers a momentary escape and chance to connect with the culture of the islands remotely, through a new campaign called Words of Mana. As Australians eagerly wait for the borders to open, the series available on Instagram, Facebook and Youtube, will be able to virtually bring travellers closer to The Islands of Tahiti

The campaign embodies the spirit of Mana, the life force of The Islands of Tahiti and its culture, with short clips featuring Tahitian words that imbue feelings of warmth and positivity along with dreamy shots of the gorgeous destination. The Words of Mana campaign creates an opportunity to learn about The Islands of Tahiti and engage with the warm and inviting culture of the islands.

Once the Australian borders are open, you’ll be able to say Ua Reva! – Let’s Go! And when you set foot on Tahitian grounds, you’ll be able to great the person handing you a lei (flower wreath) by saying ‘Ia Ora Na, followed by a little happy ‘Oa ‘Oa, to express the pure bliss of finally experiencing a holiday in paradise.

“The Words of Mana campaign gives visitors a chance to engage with the spirit of our islands,” said Caroline Brunel, Tahiti Tourisme Australia-New Zealand Account Director, “As Tahiti is open and ready for visitors, we are eager to welcome travellers back once they are able to, but until everyone can travel again, we hope that our series will provide a momentary escape that will reinvigorate and renew the senses.”

As of June 16th, vaccinated Australians are no longer required to quarantine upon arrival in The Islands of Tahiti.
