Auckland flight suspension until March 2022

September 29, 2021 in Experience

It is with regret that we must advise that Air Tahiti Nui will further extend their Auckland-Papeete flight schedule suspension for passenger services up to and including 27 March 2022.

With no clear indication of when the New Zealand border will reopen to international travel without mandatory quarantine, the cancellation of flights is unavoidable.  This schedule suspension does not impact their weekly scheduled cargo flight between Auckland and Papeete.

In addition, their Papeete-Narita flight schedule will be suspended up to and including 26 March 2022.

Their Papeete-Los Angeles and Papeete-Paris flight schedule will continue to operate, with the Papeete-Paris-Papeete services operating via Vancouver or Los Angeles as noted below.

•TN67/68 via YVR:  on/before 15 Nov 2021

•TN7/8 via LAX: on/after 16 Nov 2021

It is important to note that passengers on these services must obtain the necessary transit visa at least 72 hours before flight departure.  i.e.

• An electronic travel authorization (eTA) to transit through Vancouver.

• An electronic system for travel authorization (ESTA) to transit through Los Angeles.
